Below you will find all Applications for services provided by the Building Department. You will also see some Guideline sheets. Each Guideline lists all the information and requirements needed to apply for and receive a Building Permit. If something is not listed, your project may still require a permit. Please read over the General guidelines for more assistance. 

Applications

Authorization to Make Application - (Used to give permission to file an application on behalf of the Owner)

Block Party Permit - (Used to apply for permission to have a Block Party)

Building Permit - (Used to apply for most projects)

Certificate of Occupancy - (Used for a Owner change of use on a Business property, or a deed transfer on a Multi-family home)

Demolition Permit - (For the demolition of any structure)

Outdoor Dining - (Used for Restaurants who would like to have tables outside the establishment in the summer)

Peddlers Permit - (Door to Door sales, Pop up food vendors, etc.)

Poulterers License - (Used for Permission to own and maintain Chicken Coup)

Sign Permit - (To apply for Zoning Board approval for a new sign)

Temporary Sign Permit - (Use for a temporary event or while waiting for approval from Zoning Board)

Unified Solar Permit - (Standard statewide used form for installing Solar Panels, all types)

Zoning Board of Appeals - (Used to apply for many projects, of which require special approvals)

To appeal your FOIL request, please send your appeal to the Appeals Officer, Mayor John R. Alfieri, at jalfieri@eastrochester.org.

All appeals must be received within 10 days of your receipt of the original response to your FOIL request.
