ERPD accepts out dated or unwanted medications.

Change in SHARPS Policy - 11/19/20

The East Rochester Police Department will longer be able to accept SHARPS for disposal.  Residents wishing to dispose of SHARPS are requested to use an alternate means for disposal.  NYS Law requires hospitals and nursing home facilities to accept sharps from residents free of charge. Some primary care physicians will also accept them from their patients.  Visit Ecopark’s website to access the NYS DOH’s website. Once there, you will be able to review a complete list of facilities that accept SHARPS for free in our area.
